So here is the plan:
If you have kids: Take them trick-or-treating on Friday night. On Saturday afternoon, feed your kids ALL of their candy at once. When they crash throw them in bed and come out to the Blues Bar in downtown Mount Prospect for the best rock in the whole Chicagoland area. If you don't have kids: Take the 3 year bottle of pickle relish out of the fridge. Get the last hot dog bun out of the cabinet and load that sucker up with the old pickle relish and eat it over the sink. Then, come out to the Blues Bar in downtown Mount Prospect for the best rock in the whole Chicagoland area. Blues Bar 2 W Busse Ave Mount Prospect, IL 60056 (847) 788-9977 http://www.blues-bar.com |

Many people come up to us and tell us that they love us. That's great, we love you, too! Then they proceed to tell us why. That's when things get awkward! Here is a list of the top 10 most popular reasons why people LOVE Machines Gone Mad.
10. We play songs that don't stink. 9. David is clean and rarely sweats. 8. Eric's mom likes us. 7. We drink like fish and swim like dolphins. 6. Darrel grows "chinchillas" in his bathtub. 5. We wear coordinating multi-colored banana hammocks. 4. We eat our meat covered in gay sauce. 3. Lenny's fro. 2. We can lick the alphabet. 1. Jager! What do you love about MGM? | Another Successful Avon Walk in Chicago |
| June 4th, 2007 |
|
Most people believe that being in a rock band is all about depravity and hedonism. While that is true, every once in a while we get a chance to do something constructive. This weekend we were given the opportunity, for the second year in a row, to perform for the heroes that walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer here in Chicago.
This year was another record-breaking year of the Avon Foundation. In Chicago alone, over 3500 women walked 39 miles in two days and raised over $8.3 million for breast cancer research. That's more than any Avon Walk in any city has ever raised! You can see why we are honored to donate a relatively small amount of time each year to honor the heroes that succeed in making such a huge difference in society. We feel that this event is one of the greatest grassroots organizations in humanity. Congratulations to everyone who worked and walked in 2007 and MGM will be back to perform again in 2008! For more information, visit http://avonwalk.org |

Chicago hosts the biggest Avon Walk in the country and last year's was the biggest one to date. |

MGM had a wild time on black Wednesday at Peggy Kinnane's Irish Pub. We welcome all of our new fans. There are a number of great photos on the website.
You'll notice that there has been another change at the bass player position. We know that you're thinking, "When are those clowns going to settle down with one bass player?" It's true that we have been quite picky over the past two years but we can safely say that is we are finished looking. Say hello to Tom Heslin, the final bass player. His credentials are quite impressive as well as his bass playing. Tom was on a short list of bass players that we dreamed of having and we are glad to say that with him, the machine is fully functional! MGM's next show is at Mickey Finn's Amber Room in downtown Libertyville on Friday, December 29th. Mickey Finn's is one of the best-kept secrets in all of Chicagoland. They have great food, brew fantastic beer, it's clean, it's fancy, it's relaxing and the service is great. Don't miss it! $6 Cover 412 N. On Friday October 6th, MGM will be return to the wacky, wackiness of Peggy Kinnane's in downtown Arlington Heights. Last time we were there, there was dancing in the street in our rear view mirrors as we drove away in the wee hours of the morning. It will be Russ' debut so bring you digital cameras as you witness the fury of Russell Kroll on bass.
Thanks to Lisa who took pictures of the ad hoc Duke O'Briens show. You can see them at http://machinesgonemad.com . We recently upgraded our web server and it's flaky. We're not sure it's an upgrade but we're working tirelessly to mend it. The big scary error messages seem to come and go on their own so if you click on something and it doesn't work the first time it might work the second or third time. Rock on! |
| Machines Gone Mad! @ Eddie McCann's is Cancelled |
| September 5th, 2006 |
|
First, this Friday's show (9/8/06) at Eddie McCann's in North Aurora has been cancelled. Randy has decided not to continue performing with Machines Gone Mad. Good luck, Randy.
However, Machines Gone Mad will be back with our new bass player on October 6th at Peggy Kinnane's in Arlington Heights. His name is Russell Kroll. He previously played with Wildcrue (Motley Crue tribute) and Lounge Puppets. We can assure you that Russ is killer performer and we are lucky to have him on stage. MGM has a new website that should make things easier to find. It will also make you 39% more glamorous! Check it out! http://machinesgonemad.com |

MGM had a riot at Cubby Bear North on Saturday. Thanks to all of the rowdy, out-of-state party geniuses that rocked the place with us until closing. They had no idea what they what get when they showed up at CBN and neither did we. Thanks to Rich and Kathy for helping us out. Also thanks to Dan, (Darrel's doppelganger) and congrats to newlyweds!
Thanks to "Katinka", John Bates and Julie Goldberg, we have approximately to 600 photos from the show! We'll gradually be uploading them over the next week. We also have video that we plan to post as well. We'll let you know when it's all available. Our Prairie Rock show on Saturday August 19th, has been cancelled. This Saturday August 12th MGM will roll into the sleepy northwest suburb of Lincolshire, Illinois to rock the Cubby Bear North. Cover charge is $6 and showtime is 10:30 pm. We know that 10:30 pm is late but if you catch a nap in the afternoon and hit the Starbucks on the way to the show, we should all be awake well into the morning hours. That's our plan. As usual, digital cameras are encouraged. Anyone that has Quigley's pictures can upload them http://machinesgonemad.com/images.php .
We will be playing two new additions that you asked for. "Missing You" by John Waite and "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness. You can nominate or vote for your favorite songs at http://machinesgonemad.com/request.php . See you all Saturday! |

This weekend, MGM was given the honor of performing at the Avon Breast Cancer Walk in Chicago. Chicago hosts the biggest Avon Walk in the country and this year was the biggest one to date. More than 3,500 participants in this weekend’s Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Chicago raised $8.2 million for access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, making it the largest event and the most ever raised at any Avon Walk since the series launched in 2003.
All we have to say is after walking 26.2 miles, these ladies were ready to rock! You can see for yourself. For the first time, we have video of the event on the front page of http://machinesgonemad.com as well as some great pictures. We will be posting more as more media becomes available. At the beginning of the year, we got together and set goals for the band. This was the ONLY show that sought to play and we are glad we did. We had an amazing time and we are proud to be a part of such great event. Shortly after the event, the organizers invited us back to perform next year and we look forward to bringin' it 2007! First, we'd just like to throw a huge thanks at all of the awesome fans we met at Lilly's at Pheasant Run. We didn't think it was possible to have that much fun but with the fans dancing and singing on the dance floor, on stage, in the bathroom...seriously, you cats were out of control. The weather outside was frightful, but the fans at Lilly's were delightful.
There are pictures of the show at http://machinesgonemad.com/images.php. Don’t forget, you can upload your own pictures from the show, too. It's been a long time since our last mail but we have three HUGE pieces of news...and a lot of yelling.
1. We have a new bass player! AAAAHHHH!!!! His name is Jeff Barker. He's an Aries and likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. You can see, touch, feel, smell and taste him at http://www.machinesgonemad.com/jeff.php 2. Eric and his wife Rachel... well mostly his wife, have given birth to TWINS! AAAAHHHH!!!! 3. Unless your powers of perception have deserted you, you will notice WE HAVE A NEW NAME! AAAAHHHH!!!! We still have our old Kill Kitty website but we also have an new one at http://www.machinesgonemad.com The last couple months we have been spent changing diapers (for some of us), moving our rehearsal studio, breaking in Jeff, arguing over a new name and adding new songs to our repertoire. We hope to have new show dates for you in the near future. Oh, and one last thing-AAAAHHHH!!!! |

Jim Tinaglia has left the building.
You may have noticed KK is looking for a bass player. Our now ex-bass player, Jim Tinaglia, has taken early leave while we are still searching for a replacement. So we will not be performing on July 30th at the Loft. Not to fret, advanced technology will enable us to create a new bass player using ordinary household items and we shall return in the near future. Bye, for now! |

| Kill Kitty Website Announcement |
| April 25th, 2005 |
|
The Kill Kitty band has a new website! http://www.killkitty.com
Now, I know what you're thinking. "Who the hell is Kill Kitty and why are they sending me this email?!" If you are receiving this email it's because one of the Kill Kitty band members cared enough about you to put you on this list. Isn't that nice? Now you're thinking "Who are these thoughtful Kill Kitty members?" Kill Kitty is (in order of height) Geoff, Darrel, Jim and Eric. Now you should be thinking "Oh, I remember that jackass! I'll have to thank him the next time I see him." If you want the opportunity to thank us in person stop by the website to find out where we will be. Whatever you do, don't click on the cat! |
